1. How did you get started in the Boer goat industry?
I got started in the Boer goat industry after my boys took selling their market swine and lambs hard. I wanted them to have something they could keep, and we could breed.

2. What does your operation look like today?
My operation looks a little overcrowded right now honestly. I would imagine a bunch of people feel this way right now... I have grown more than 4 fold in the last year.

3. What do you enjoy the most about the Boer goat industry?
I enjoy the sense of comradery that so many people are willing (and able) to help if you're brave enough to ask.

4. Who was an inspiration to you or assisted you in improving your heard and how did they help you.
Steven and Heather Peterson of SHUSH sold me my first fullblood. Quite a lot of my breeding foundation is at the level it is because of them. Also Rebecca Eckles, my sister has been unending in her support and tech assistance. Also, my mother Alice Hamm and my husband Tim Goble for putting up with my addiction and all of the time. Joe Christian for transporting a bunch of great goats to me.

5. What has been your biggest challenge as a producer?
My biggest challenge is the loss of animals--kidding is pure elation and heartbreak.

6. What are you most excited about in the coming year?
The things I'm most excited about in the coming year is competing at a much higher level. Learning how to fit. And producing highly sought after animals.
