Chairwoman: Morgan Burke, Wind Valley Ranch
Morgan grew up on Wind Valley Ranch, where she and her family raise a small herd of beef cattle, appaloosa horses and of course Boer goats. Her family’s journey into the goat world started with a pair of dairy cross does to compete with in 4H until she and her sister were both big enough to show steers. Today they are still in the goat barn raising quality fullblood and percentage Boers. They have been apart of ABGA for 11 years and one of their first ABGA shows was CBGA’s April fools show. Along with raising Boers, Morgan recently just graduated with her Bachelors at WSU and has future plans to continue her education. |

Board Member: Kristen VanValkenburg, Crazy Ride Ranch
Kristen and her daughter are new to the scene. Kristen is the supportive parent of a passionate goat farmer! Jaelynn (her daughter) has been raising Boer goats for 3 years and just dabbled in AGBA shows last year. Kristen obviously has an interest in promoting, encouraging and raising Boer goats through more youth participation and opportunities. |
Board Member: Briana Rask, BK Farms
Briana has been involved in the meat goat industry for almost 17 years now, focused on producing a solid meat carcass for her customers. Her family consists of herself, her husband and two boys, ages 8 and 4. They reside in SW Washington. They currently have a herd of about 15 breeding does and 12 replacements along with a group of wethers for her meat clients and her own freezer. They also raise custom pork and a handful of steers each year. She feels the livestock community is great for families and is honored to serve on the CBGA board. |
